Lil Wayne drops “Mind Right” freestyle.
Fans of Lil Wayne are eagerly awaiting the release of his next album, which is rumored to be the long-awaited Funeral project. According to reports, the album’s release date may coincide with Wayne’s upcoming joint tour with Blink-182, which kicks off on June 27 in Columbus, Ohio. A freestyle called “Mind Right” from Young Money Head Lil Wayne surfaced online today which was from 2014. It’s a remix of Tk-N-Ca$h’s ‘Mind Right‘ which was also released in 2014.
The complete version of the song has surfaced, along with a bonus track named “Bodies,” which looks to be a reworking of his 2018 underground hit “Quasimodo. In the freestyle, Lil Wayne takes shots at Young Thug as well as Birdman in response to the Cash Money Feud between Weezy himself and Birdman.
LWHQ speculates that this unreleased version from Weezy could be a cut from his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 or No Ceilings 2 mixtapes from 2015, but we can’t say for sure. Listen to the new song below.
