H.E.R. drops a new song “Come Through” with Chris Brown.
H.E.R. returns to the music scene as she teams up with Chris Brown once again for her new single called “Come Through”. They joined forces last year on the “Slide” Remix which also featured Pop Smoke and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. The new track is produced by Cardiak.
On April 23, H.E.R. and Brown released their duet “Come Through,” two days before H.E.R. won her first Academy Award for best original song for “Fight for You” from the Fred Hampton drama Judas and the Black Messiah. The 23-year-old R&B singer was also nominated for two Grammys earlier this year, including song of the year for her track “I Can’t Breathe,” which she debuted last summer during the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Our words became the lyrics to “I Can’t Breathe”. “It became something that I needed to get out. But when it did come out, I didn’t realize that it was actually going to be something that impacted people and that would become the soundtrack to the marching or anything like that. At first, I didn’t realize activism was part of that purpose but I guess my voice matters,” she says. “I definitely feel a responsibility because I have this platform, but I think we should all speak out against things that we don’t like and things that should change, regardless of where we come from.”
Last week, Chris Brown dropped an epic music video for his “Go Crazy” remix. Listen to the new track below.
