Fivio Foreign drops ‘Big Drip’ remix.
Fivio Foreign, who’s signed to Columbia Records returns with some new material as he drops the official remix of his single called ‘Big Drip‘. The new version features assistance from Tory Lanez.
With his street hit “Big Drip,” produced by AXL Beats, Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign made his formal entry into the fast burgeoning drill scene last summer. He’s since signed a lucrative deal with Columbia Records and released his Pain and Love EP, effectively putting him on track to follow in the footsteps of his friend Pop Smoke into prominence. Pop Smoke was tragically assassinated in Los Angeles, leaving Fivio to continue the viral movement in his hometown.
He’s released a remix to “Big Drip” today, which now features Atlanta’s Quavo and Lil Baby. The song is also rumored to be on Fivio’s upcoming album B.I.B.L.E. Both southern features smoothly adapt to the song’s unique approach on the remix.
The original Big Drip is a remix of a song by another Woo rapper named Dafi Woo, whose song “Not Folk” was released as a diss record to all the GD’s in Brooklyn. The same track was utilized again during Funk Flex, a freestyle by 22gz, a Choo rapper. Given that 22gz is a GD (Gangster Disciple) and that this beat has mostly been used by GDK artists, it’s easy to understand how much the Woo’s have dominated the rap scene.
