Drake surprise drops two new freestyle.
After giving us ‘War’ video and doing a new 2-hour interview with Rap Radar in December, Drake returns with some new material as he drops not one but two new tracks.
This first track is called ‘When To Say When‘ which is more like a freestyle with part of the music video shot at the Marcy projects in Brooklyn. The second track is titled ‘Chicago Freestyle‘ which features Giveon.
Theo Skudra directed the video, which was shot in Manhattan’s Diamond neighborhood as well as Drake’s birthplace of Toronto. In the former, Drake says, “Baby mama fluke, but I love her for who she is,” referring to his son Adonis (whose existence was officially disclosed by Pusha-T in 2018), as well as gloating about his success and suffering (“Five hundred weeks, I fill the charts with my pain“).
The songs are the rapper’s second release this year; in January, he released a couple of tag-team singles with Future, “Life Is Good” and “Desires,” though speculations of another collaborative album between the two have yet to materialize.
