Don Toliver, Lil Durk & Latto drops “Fast Lane”.
We are closing in on the release of the new film of the “Fast and Furious” franchise which will also have a star-studded soundtrack. F9: The Fast Saga, which follows last year’s Road to Fast 9 mixtape and features Trippie Redd, Skepta, Pop Smoke, King Von, Sean Paul, Lil Tecca, Polo G, Offset, and more, was released a week early. Atlantic Records has dropped a new song “Fast Lane” from the project today, which is a collaboration between Don Toliver, Lil Durk, and Latto. It is produced by DJ Chose, Tariq Beats, and Nick Seeley.
Apart from releasing his own album, Heaven or Hell, last year, which featured successful singles like “After Party” and “No Idea,” Don Toliver has contributed to a number of notable collaborations in 2020, including Internet Money’s “Lemonade” with Gunna and NAV, Rico Nasty’s “Don’t Like Me” with Gucci Mane, CHASE B’s “Cafeteria” with Gunna, and more. He most recently appeared on Drakeo The Ruler’s mixtape The Truth Hurts.
Durk and Latto spew rebellious bars about their individual triumphs over the victorious brass and organ combo, with Latto proclaiming herself “the finest of the best” and Durk threatening, “I could put some rappers all on blast, but ain’t gon’ mention them.” “They say that I know magic how my whips change. ” Don Toliver boasts, providing a melodious hook.
This follows up last week’s “I Won” by Ty Dolla Sign, Jack Harlow, and 24kGoldn.
UPDATE: Added the official video. Don Toliver opens the video, directed by Michael Garcia, with a melodious hook that includes plenty of references to the film’s high-speed premise.
