Swizz Beatz, French Montana drops “Been To War” with DMX.
Last week, the world lost the legendary DMX, Who was in ICU after suffering a heart attack due to a drug overdose. Today, the first posthumous track of DMX releases, which is titled “Been To War“. It features assistance from Swizz Beatz and French Montana. The track will appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming season 2 of the “Godfather of Harlem” series.
Swizz Beatz and DMX also contributed to the first season with the song called “Just in Case” along with Rick Ross.
Beatz, like with the previous season, is in charge of creating the series’ music, and the producer also worked with DMX last season. In 2019, the duo, together with Rick Ross, released “Just in Case,” which was accompanied by a video directed by DAPS and featuring Whitaker.
After being hospitalised on April 2nd, DMX died on April 9th at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York.“Earl was a warrior who fought ’til the very end,” his family said in a statement. “He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him. Earl’s music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever.”
