He immediately fell into Kanye West’s clutches in 2018, lending his talents to Ye and the now-defunct Yandhi, the latter of which became Ye’s follow-up Jesus Is King. He also joined West and Tony Williams in the now-famous Sunday Service Choir as one of the lead singers.
Clemons hasn’t said if his 2021 recordings will be stand-alone singles or will be included in his upcoming album. “A lot of the different stories I’m sharing are common stories that I think that anybody can relate to,” Clemons told Okayplayer about the project, “the stories from the heart, like stories of trying to get over love, stories of trying to find new love.”
