Recently, a lot of Aaliyah’s music was released on the streaming platforms, and now a posthumous single from the late Brooklyn singer is released. The track is titled “Poison” which features assistance from hitmaker The Weeknd and is produced by Nick Lamb and DannyBoyStyles. The track will appear on Aaliyah’s upcoming posthumous album called “Unstoppable”.
“I’m so excited to share this new song by Aaliyah and the very talented The Weeknd,” Barry Hankerson, founder of Blackground Records, said. “I wanted her adoring fans to get a special gift before the holidays and felt it was the perfect time to release a never-before-heard offering.”
“Sometimes my way of life ain’t fair / I feel it’s sad for me, you take the chance / So you are givin’ me no choice / I think I must exercise my voice and say,” Aaliyah sings on the short track.
