Moneybagg Yo unleashes his new single “Rocky Road” with Kodak Black.
Following the assistance on DaBaby’s latest track “Wig“, Moneybagg Yo decided to put out some of his own new material to kick off his new era. The Memphis rapper enlists hitmaker Kodak Black for his brand new single called “Rocky Road”, which is Produced by Mook On The Beat, BennettMakingHits, DrumGod & Skywalker OG.
“I’m the one that didn’t’ fold, all them other ni**as h*es / Out there standin’ by the pole, sellin’ dope to buy some clothes / ‘Cause I knеw that attract the h*es until one lеft my heart so cold / I just didn’t know no better, made me hard on the next one,” raps Moneybagg.
The video is likewise set in that environment. The Young Chang-directed video weaves a familiar tale as a man who’s already managing life’s complexity finds himself at a fork in the road: how to respond to another man’s irresponsible violence. The two rappers are present, occupying a position that is both within the action and close enough to see the wider image. Bagg has occupied this spot for a long time.
