Moneybagg Yo drops “Wockesha” Remix with Lil Wayne & Ashanti.
Moneybagg returns with some new material as he decided to drop the official remix of his hit single “Wockesha“. The new version features assistance from legendary Lil Wayne and Ashanti. Moneybagg Yo dropped the music video for the original version in July, which also featured a cameo from Lil Wayne.
“Wockesha,” which appeared on Moneybagg’s newest album A Gangsta’s Pain in April, has been steadily climbing the charts; it topped Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart last month on its way to landing at No. 11 on the Hot R&B/Hop Songs list for the week ending September 4. Cash Money’s third Hot 100 Top 40 success, this one reached No. 33 earlier this summer.
DeBarge’s “Stay With Me” is sampled in the song, which Ashanti notably replicated in her 2002 single “Foolish.” Aside from adding her “Foolish” flow, the R&B singer also adds a new verse: “Double cup love, both got each other fiendin’ / You better change yo habits / Cuz boy you fu**in’ with a classic.”
The track appeared on his latest album “A Gangsta’s Pain” which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. Recently, DaBaby also released a freestyle over “Wockesha”.
