Migos drops a new song “Straightenin”.
The trio of Migos returns with some new solo material as they release a new track called “Straightenin” which comes along with an official video. Recently, the Atlanta trio teased the third installment of the “Culture” album.
“Straightenin” is Migos at its best, with triplet flows and ad libs careening over booming bass, sharp percussion, and a hazy synth line (“I’m counting dineros with Robert DeNiro/He tells ’em that Cho amazing,” runs a typical Quavo couplet in the first verse).
Migos revealed Culture 3’s arrival earlier this year in an Instagram video titled “The Process of 3.” Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff can be shown working in the studio in Atlanta, chilling around at their Los Angeles “compound,” and pondering on quarantine in the video. “We’ve been having time to bond with each other, and time to spend with each other ’cause our solo careers have been allowing us to do different things,” Quavo said. “We got relationships and we’re growing.”
It’s their first song together since last year’s NBA YoungBoy assisted “Need It“. They also assisted DJ Khaled on his track called “We Going Crazy“. Watch the music video for the new single below.
