Lil Tjay drops a new track “Christmas In A Cell”.
Lil Tjay continues putting out new material as the Bronx rapper releases his brand new single called “Christmas In A Cell”. This follows up Tjay’s last month’s offering “Not In The Mood” with Fivio Foreign and Key Flock. Recently, Lil Tjay also assisted French Montana on the song and video titled “Bag Season“.
“Christmas In A Cell” is a very solemn piece in which Tjay reflects on a period when he was imprisoned on Christmas and expresses empathy for others who will be imprisoned this holiday season. Tjay’s forlorn crooning shines a focus on the unpleasant realities that the holiday season may bring while joyful bells loop on the music. Tjay begins the three-and-a-half-minute song with a strong chorus in which he advocates for his jailed brothers.
“I remember bein’ locked down all alone / I was on my own and nobody would pick up my phone / My momma told me that she wanna be there, like “You there?” / And please don’t call my phone until you leave there,” he raps.
