Latto shares new track “P***Y”.
Latto makes her return to the music scene with a brand new single called “P***Y”. The Johnny Goldstein-produced track is accompanied by a music video, where she raps in wake of overturn of Roe v. Wade by US Supreme Court. This is her first new offering since March’s “777” album.
“Y’all misogynistic ways show the size of your d**k (What?) / Seen with the opposite s*x and just decide that he hit (Uh) / I ain’t your property, bi**h, get mad and call me a bi**h (Uh) / And if he make you split rent then he prolly a bi**h,” she raps.
The 23-year-old Georgia native is now promoting “P***y,” the follow-up to her duet with Saucy Santana on “Booty.” She most recently won the Best New Artist prize at the BET Awards, where she performed with Mariah Carey. (Latto’s smash hit “Big Energy” notoriously borrows a verse from Carey’s 1995 number-one song “Fantasy,” which in turn borrows a line from Tom Tom Club’s 1981 song “Genius of Love.”) On September 23 in Sunrise, Florida, Lizzo’s “Special Tour” will get under way with Latto as the opening act. She will also be included on Calvin Harris’ august 5 release of the star-studded album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2.
