Kevin Gates shares new song “Intro”.
Kevin Gates continues putting out new material as he releases a brand new song called “Intro”. The song is the latest offering off his upcoming new third studio album “Khaza”. The project is a follow up to his last year’s “Only The Generals Part II”.
“For the record, I am Muslim first, where should I begin? / I’m a general, I’m one to men, ABPSN / I’m hospitable, respect the grip, but we can not be friends / Social media, I’m not promotin’ criminal intent,” he raps.
The new music video arrived with his new freestyle “Super General” over Kodak Black’s beat of “Super Gremlin”.
Gates is in fine form, pounding each bar as if he’s attempting to imprint the names of each and every New Orleans area he mentions in your mind. In contrast to the raw vulnerability of his earlier songs “Big Lyfe” and “Bad For Me,” Gates regularly alludes to himself in the a general, and “Intro” is an address. By any stretch of the imagination, those weren’t horrible compositions, but “Intro” shows Gates at his best. The video for the song can be seen above; Gates’ new album Khaza will be released on June 17.
