Kendrick Lamar shares a new song “Watch The Party Die.”
Kendrick Lamar is back with a surprise release, as the rapper dropped a new song on his Instagram, reportedly titled “Watch The Party Die.” The Cardo-produced track released at the exact moment the 2024 MTV VMAs kicked off. The Cover art of the song is a pair of old black Air Force 1s, which was reportedly taken from a random eBay listing.
“The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary / Let me know when they turn up as a casualty / I want agony / Assault and battery / I see a new Earth filled with beautiful people making humanity work,” he raps.

This is Kendrick’s first musical release since his battle with Drake. The rapper last dropped the hit single “Not Like Us”, which peaked at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke several streaming records.
The song was released following K. Dot’s recent announcement that he will be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show next year in 2025. In a video shared by the rapper on his YouTube, he’s practising with NFL footballs as he announces the halftime show for 2025. “My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I will be performing at Super Bowl 59. Will you be pulling up, I hope so. You know there’s only one opportunity to win the championship, no round 2’s. I don’t want you to miss it, meet me in New Orleans, on February 9th, 2025.”
