Jhene Aiko shares a new track “Wrap Me Up”.
We’re closing in on Christmas, this means we will get a lot of new holiday releases in the coming days. Today, Jhene Aiko makes her return to the music scene as she drops the song called “Wrap Me Up“. It is an updated version of the song she released around 8 years ago, which was then assisted by James Fauntleroy.
“Visions of you have been all in my head / This time last year you were here in my bed / Told me you loved me and never forget / Every December you’d make sure you’re here / So I pray as soon as I wake / That we spend today up under each other,” she sings.
Aiko initially released this on SoundCloud eight years ago. She was joined by James Fauntleroy in that rendition, and the arrangement was slightly different, but in the 2021 version, Aiko mixes up the production and flies alone. The words are mostly the same as Aiko takes over Fauntleroy’s sections and yells out how much she wants to be wrapped up in her lover’s arms.
Aiko recently collaborated with Swae Lee on the track “In the Dark” from the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings soundtrack. Her latest album, CHILOMBO, was released in 2020 and achieved platinum certification by January 2021.
As for her romantic life, Aiko and her partner Big Sean have been keeping a low profile in recent months. They were known for frequently sharing their relationship on social media, but they have recently chosen to keep their relationship more private.
She previously assisted Moneybagg Yo on the track called “One of Dem Nights“. Listen to the new song below.
