Jeymes Samuel, D’Angelo and JAY-Z connect on “I Want You Forever”.
JAY-Z is back with a new verse as the rapper assists D’Angelo and Jeymes Samuel on the new song titled “I Want You Forever”. This is taken from the soundtrack to Jeymes Samuel’s new movie “The Book of Clarence”, which is co-produced by JAY-Z.
“Hmm, in God we wait / Got these ni–as next level hatin’, matchmakin’ from the grave / Y’all okay? Hmm / Lovers don’t finally meet, they been in each other all along / So way before you were born, and long after they’re gone,” raps HOV.
The full soundtrack is also released, which includes Doja Cat & Kodak Black assisted “Jeezu”, and Lil Wayne, Buju Banton & Shabba Ranks’ “Hallelujah Heaven”, Kid Cudi on “Godqueen” and more.
The movie is also released in the United States now, and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Anna Diop, David Oyelowo, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Caleb McLaughlin, Teyana Taylor and more.
“It’s Jeymes,” Hov said about Jeymes Samuel in an interview with ET. “Jeymes is just a genius. We did The Harder They Fall together and we are gonna do a bunch of projects. We got a bunch of projects in the pipeline as well… he’s just fearless. He’s fearless and he’s creative. We went from Old West to the New Testament.”
