Hopsin drops a new song “Your House”.
Hopsin had been missing from the music since releasing “Kumbaya” and “Covid Mansion” at the start of last year but a few days ago, he shared a clip where he talked about going through some hard times and that he’s in a better place now. He announced that there’s new music coming which he wrote during his difficult time. Today Hopsin finally released a new single called “Your House” where he raps about the flawed relationship between his parents.
After a brief hiatus, Hopsin recently shared an update in which he opened up about some of his personal struggles. Hop appears to have found inner peace, and while he does intend to release some of his older music, he maintains that it was created during a darker period in his life. In any case, Hop has made good on his promise to release new music, beginning with a look at his troubled family life on “Your House.”

Hopsin has been dealing with psychological issues for several years. He quoted “I just want to update you guys before I start releasing new music in 2021. Over the past three years, I was in a really dark and depressing state. I felt like hurting myself. I felt like hurting other people. I had friends and family who tried to give me advice but I just wrote it off because I assumed that the issues and problems that I was encountering were above anything that they could comprehend. I created my own hell.”
“Music that is coming out is music that I made in those dark times. I didn’t put it out cause I was not ready to be an artist publicly. I didn’t feel like being Hopsin. I made a bunch of songs during those f**ked up times. I’m going to put those songs out in 2021 but I want to make something clear: I’m not in this place anymore. When you guys see those videos, I’m not in that place anymore. I’ve grown and made out of it.” said Hopsin.
