Erica Banks drops ‘Buss It’ Remix with Travis Scott.
Erica Banks is riding high on the ‘Buss It‘ Challenge which is going viral on Social Media and she decided to push it further. Erica Banks enlists Travis Scott for the official remix of her hit single which was released in mid-2020.
Travis Scott has added a touch of his musical style to Erica Banks’ single “Buss It.” The original song sparked a TikTok viral #BussItChallenge, and it’s been taking off ever since. Travis’ signature ad-libs are sprinkled throughout the remix, which samples Nelly’s Pharrell-produced hit “Hot in Herre.” Travis begins the song with a verse full of auto-tuned vocals and a laidback flow. Later in the second verse, Banks is heard delivering lines from the original track. According to sources, Banks had no idea Travis was working on a remix until one of her associates called her and played it over the phone: “I [was] just wowed. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on? How did he even get this song?’ That’s how I found out, through a phone call of somebody calling me and telling me.”
Banks admitted she had no clue the DJ Sgt J-produced hit would be so successful. “Initially I didn’t like the song when it was completed so having it go viral wasn’t something I thought about like that,” The single was first published as part of Banks’ self-titled first EP in 2020. On TikTok, the #BussItChallenge had over 441 million views last month.
Banks has recently signed a deal with Warner Records in association with 1501 Certified Entertainment, and she appears to be on her road to superstardom, especially with such high-caliber collaborations. The original song was published in 2020, however, it gained popularity in 2021, peaking at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Travis’ remix will undoubtedly give the song a boost.
