Chance The Rapper enlists Joey Badass on “The Highs & The Lows”.
Following the release of “A Bar About A Bar” a couple of weeks ago, Chance The Rapper continues putting out new music as he drops another new single called “The Highs & The Lows”. The song features assistance from Joey Badass and it comes with an accompanying music video, which was shot just like his previous two visuals.
Joey Badass was supposed to drop his new album “2000” tonight, but it got pushed back due to sample clearance issues.
The two spit for over four minutes over a soulful sample, low-tempo rhythm, as is Chance’s style. The Coloring Book artist talks about his mom, mimosas, and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, occasionally blending in his rasp singing vocals. Joey improvises the chorus before launching into his own verse, in which he talks about quitting his character flaws and also being distracted by the outside world.
“I’m an emotional rollercoaster / Where high so high could put Bol Bol on a poster / But when the bread get low like four loafs and a toaster / Or the shoulders can’t get cold as ten toes in Nova Scotia,” raps Chance.
