Cardi B drops a new song “Up”.
After teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion for one of the biggest hit “WAP” last year, Cardi B makes her return to the music scene as the Bronx hitmaker releases her new single called “Up” which is produced by Tay Hawes. Along with it, she also dropped the official video which is directed by Tanu Muino.
Since the release, the songstress has been the center of attention. Within ten hours of its release on YouTube, her music video had amassed over 2 million views. The Grammy winner also stated about the new song, “The biggest inspiration for this song, I wanted a more hood song. I felt like my last song was too sexy. … I wanted to do something more gangster, more cocky.”
The release date for the Invasion of Privacy sequel is not yet known. Cardi B revealed some information about the album in August of last year and said it will address the allegations around her marriage to Offset.
“If you all are so curious to know about my relationship and blah, blah, blah, I’m going to put it in the f**kin’ music, and you can buy it, too,” she shared of what to expect on the album, which has been delayed due to the coronavirus. “I’m not going to give it to you all for free,” she told Elle magazine in the publication’s September of 2020 issue.
