Cardi B enlist Kanye West and Lil Durk for “Hot Sh*t”.
After announcing it earlier this week, Cardi B makes her grand return to music with a brand new single “Hot Sh*t”. The track is a collaboration with Kanye West and Lil Durk, with production from BanBwoi & Tay Keith. This kicks off the campaign for her next studio album, a follow-up to her debut effort “Invasion of Privacy“.
“It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before,” she said in an IG live. “I feel like people is expecting a lot of sl*tness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep talking I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine… it’s great for the clubs. It’s great for the bi**hes.”
“Pinky swear, you ain’t scared when you heard Ye appear / I’ma hop up out the bushes, me and Pusha kill your man / I’m just sayin’ now I start to get used to the pain / ‘Til one day I say “F**k it, bring my masseuse on the plane”,” raps Ye.
Cardi said to Zane Lowe on Apple Music that she was both delighted and worried about the single’s debut. She also discussed working with Kanye on the song, stating, “Kanye gave me this verse a couple of months ago when he was just all over the media, because of all of the things that were going on, and I like how his verse it’s personal, but it’s not that personal. It’s enjoyable in the clubs that you could be like, “Yeah, yeah. You talk your big cash.” I really love it. And I’m so happy that he gave me this verse. And I had a lot of conversations with Kanye west. I learned so much about him and he’s such an amazing, sweet person. I’ve been feeling like, I wish a lot of people have conversations with him so they could just see the real…the him.”
