Busta Rhymes enlist BIA for “Beach Ball”.
After teasing it by changing his social media display pictures, Busta Rhymes makes his return to the music scene with a brand new single called “Beach Ball”. The song features assistance from BIA, and it is the first taste off Busta’s next album. The song arrives with a music video which also features cameos from Rick Ross and DJ Khaled.
“Never kiss ’em but I always hit ’em back to D.R / Shawty, yes, I see ya, who the f**k you thinkin’ we are? / Think you ’bout to come up? See, them thoughts, you better ignore / F**k you think you’re foolin’ tryna come off like a sweetheart?,” he raps.
This is Rhymes’ first new music since December 2022 5-track EP “The Fuse Is Lit”. The rapper is working on his eleventh studio album, a follow-up to 2020’s “Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.” He recently revealed that his next project will feature production from Timbaland, Swizz Beatz and Pharrell.
Following the release of the new song, the legendary Busta was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at BET Awards 2023. “I’m (going to) wear it on my sleeve. I do want to cry,” said an emotional Busta Rhymes. “I’m going to say I am grateful that the blessing that has been bestowed upon me and this gift that I have been given and this fire that continues to burn as a passion in my soul, that allows me to get into any situation – from the stage to collabing with whoever – and making sure that I am far from the weak link. Because I enjoy walking away from a situation saying, ‘I bust a*s!’”
