After teasing it earlier this week, BTS’ j-hope teams up with J. Cole for a surprise new collab called “On The Street”. Before the collab, a new clip from Lollapalooza 2022 was shared online, in which j-hope met J. Cole and revealed that he has been a big fan of the North Carolina rapper.

“All hail the mighty survivor of hell / Plopped down from heaven to sell / Holy water that I scooped from the well / Fought tooth and a nail / Just to prevail mongst it’s ruthless / As I move through the field,” raps Cole.

Prior to its release, Hope’s label, BigHit, had confirmed the track “On the Street.” “J-Hope wrote the track to share his candid feelings toward his fans,” the label wrote last month. “The title ‘on the street’ refers to J-Hope’s roots—street dance—from which his dream to become an artist began, and the path the artist and fans will continue to walk together.”
Cole’s latest track is not only a standalone release, but it also features on the soundtrack for Creed III. The rapper is featured on the fourth track, titled “Adonis Interlude (The Montage)”.
The song comes after the recent announcement of Dreamville Fest 2022. This year, the likes of Drake, Usher, Lil Durk, Summer Walker, GloRilla, Burna Boy and more will join Cole and other Dreamville artists on the two-day annual festival.
