Beyonce connects with Madonna on “Break My Soul” remix.
Beyonce continues the promo run for her latest album as she now teams up with Madonna for a new remix of her single “Break My Soul”. The track originally interpolates Madonna’s 1990 hit single “Vogue”.
The new track comes after the recent controversy about using Ableist Slur in her song “Heated”, which has now been removed from streaming services.
Queen Bey made her return with her new album “RENAISSANCE”, which is her first solo studio effort in 6 years. Beyonce’s seventh studio album is heading on to another Billboard 200 #1 spot.
Even though Renaissance has garnered great reviews, its release has been rocky, which is unusual for Beyonce’s release. After receiving criticism from those who work for people with disabilities who said the term “spaz” was an ableist insult, she deleted it from her song “Heated”. Beyonce also decided against utilizing “Milkshake” from “Energy” as an augmentation after Kelis blasted her for borrowing the 2003 song and called it “thievery.” Similar to these two tracks, the elimination of words raises concerns about the music’s growing adaptability as a digital good.
