Anitta enlists Missy Elliott for “Lobby”.
Brazilian pop singer Anitta teams up with Missy Elliott for a brand new song called “Lobby”. The single is produced by Ryan Tedder & Zach Skelton, and it will appear on the deluxe edition of her fifth studio album “versions of Me”.
“Having a person for me is so iconic, not only for me but for the whole world, is so iconic and then having this person working with you… doing something with you,” Anitta said about Missy Elliott on Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “That’s unbelievable. I would never imagine that, even in my most amazing dreams. I grew up my whole… when I was a teenager I used to look at her videos and everything and just… she’s iconic.”
“Chilling in Bahamas, he say I’m a hot momma (Hot mama) / Baby, what’s for dinner? I want that anaconda (That anaconda) / What we do tonight, tomorrow I won’t remember / I’ma back, back it up (Woo), baby, you can be the plumber (Ayy),” raps Elliott.
The seductive new track is the first preview of Anitta’s forthcoming “Versions of Me” album’s deluxe version, which will be available on August 25. The new and unreleased track in the deluxe version will contain “Lobby” with Elliott.
Anitta received her first VMA nomination for “Envolver,” making her the first Brazilian to ever receive a solo project nomination at the VMAs. She is also the first person from Brazil to receive a nomination for “Best Latin” at the VMAs. At the awards event slated for August 28, she will also take the stage as a performer.
