A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie unleashes new PnB Rock collab “Needed That”.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie finally released his long-awaited new album “Me vs Myself” last week, and today the rapper has unveiled a deluxe version. The new version features only one new track, which is a collab with late Philadelphia rapper PnB Rock, who was shot and killed in September.
The song is titled “Needed That”, which features a posthumous chorus and a verse from PnB Rock.
“Finally got my heart broke, yeah, I needed that / Took a little while to get the pieces back / Went and f**ked a rapper, couldn’t believe in that / Stabbed me in my back, you had me bleedin’ bad,” raps PnB.
Along with A Boogie, PnB Rock also contributes to the song, swapping heartbreaking verses over a melancholy piano-driven groove. The two East Coast rappers who were once labelmates on Atlantic Records, A Boogie and PnB Rock, previously worked together on the songs “Beast Mode” and “IDK” in 2017.
The album Me Vs. Myself, which was released in 2020, is A Boogie’s follow-up to Artist 2.0, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Next spring, A Boogie will go on a promotional tour for the album, which was highlighted by the hit track “B.R.O.” with Roddy Ricch.
