21 Savage shares two new tracks “No Debate” and “Big Smoke”.
21 Savage makes his return to the music as he decided to end his 2021 and kick off the new year on a high. The Atlanta rapper dropped not one, but two brand new songs called “No Debate” and “Big Smoke” with production from Cardo Got Wings & Deats and Sg Kid Hazel. Both the tracks come along with a joint music video which is directed by Marko Steez.
“Ni**as go to switchin’ sides, bi***es go to switchin’ sides / My lil’ brother walkin’ on crutches, but he still a ride / I can’t find the words to describe what I feel inside / Go against the gang, you ain’t heard, that’s like suicide,” he raps on No Debate.
This year, 21 Savage assisted on multiple tracks, most notably Rick Ross’ “Outlawz” with Jazmine Sullivan, and Drake’s “Knife Talk” with Project Pat.
Both tracks include Savage’s signature trappy beats, with ‘No Debate’ being the more confessional of the two, and ‘Big Smoke’ being the most club-friendly. Savage hinted about releasing a project before the end of the year when he spoke with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden in May. However, because the rapper never announced a specific release date, it currently appears that the album will be released in 2022.
“That’s what I’m planning on,” he said in response to whether a solo album would drop in 2021. “But I like quality work. So however long that take, it’ll take but I’m dropping something, for sure.”
