Vince Staples drops his new album “Ramona Park Broke My Heart”.
Vince Staples’ brand new studio album “Ramona Park Broke My Heart” is finally here, a follow up to last year’s self-titled project. The fifth studio effort is laced with recently released “Rose Street” and “Magic” with Mustard.
The album contains 16 tracks with additional guest appearances from Ty Dolla Sign on “Lemonade”, Lil Baby on “East Point Prayer” and more.
“I am often told the lie that life is what you make it. For over a decade, most of my work has been an anthology of what I believed to be home,” he wrote with the album release. Now I’ve realized that it reaches beyond location. I have been exploring the utility of home. Security. Comfort. Meaning. The answer. The excuse. To outgrow is to love blindly no longer. ‘Ramona Park Broke My Heart’ is the story of that growth.”
He also stated that his last self-titled album and this one had a clear tie “They were kind of created at the same time,” Staples revealed. “I was in a similar state of mind. I’m still working through things and the questions that life poses. This album will make even more sense if you heard the previous one.”
