YG drops his new album ‘My Life 4Hunnid’ feat Lil Wayne, Tyga, Chris Brown & others.
After recently giving us the ‘Out On Bail‘ song & video, YG continues releasing new material as he drops his new album called “My Life 4Hunnid“. The project contains 13 records with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Tyga, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Gunna, and more.
“4Real 4Real“, YG’s most recent album, charted at number seven on the Billboard 200, fifth on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts, and fourth on the rap-specific charts. His first three albums, My Krazy Life, Still Brazy, and Stay Dangerous, had already received platinum, gold, and gold certifications, respectively.
In January, he was arrested and questioned in connection with a fatal gunfight in which an SUV registered in his name was involved. On the My Life 4Hunnid track “Out on Bail,” he and his daughter Harmony discuss the incident.
YG got down for an interview with the Los Angeles Times shortly before dropping the project, revealing that he would grieve Nipsey more privately in the future. “I want to let the homie rest,” he said. “I’m not gonna fall back and just talk about bro in interviews. Not just in breath, but on my records.”
“This whole album got recorded while in the quarantine, you know what I’m saying? So it was like, I felt like my album is what it is because of the times that we were going through, the times that we’re in, it’s like, it’s not the typical YG to turn up the extra turn up there, man. I got some slaps and some bops that’s going to make you move, but I really couldn’t make that music in these times, you feel me?” he said.
