Vic Mensa unleashes new playlist project “93′ to 23′: VICTOR”.
Vic Mensa continues putting out new material as he ends four-year hiatus with his new playlist album “93′ to 23′: VICTOR”. The project is laced with the recently released “$wish” with Chance The Rapper and G-Eazy. This is a follow-up to 2021’s “I Tape” EP, and it is a playlist album of previously released songs to celebrate rapper’s 30th birthday.
The new album comes with a pack of 18 tracks, with additional guest appearances from The Dream on “Heaven On Earth”, Pusha T on “OMG”, SAINt JHN on “2Honest”, Pharrell Williams on “Wings”, Wyclef Jean & Chance The Rapper on “Shelter”, Charlie Wilson on “The 1 That Got Away/No Shoes”, Ty Dolla Sign on “We Could Be Free” and more.
In a recent interview on Sway in the Morning, Mensa admitted that dissing Drake in 2017 was a big mistake. “I fell victim to addictions and my mental state/Stupid sh*t, like dissing Drake/That was a big mistake,” he rapped on the show, referring to his 2017 Drake diss “Danger.” “But when you raised in a cage, all you know is MMA/I dissed [Lil] Yachty, dissed Ak[ademiks], dissed X[Tentacion]/It was disrespect/ It made the fans disinvest.”
