J. Cole drops the new album “4 Your Eyez Only”.
Earlier this week, J. Cole has announced that he will be dropping a new album this week and here it is now. This week he also released a new Documentary titled ‘Eyez‘ and new tracks/videos for ‘False Prophets‘ and ‘Everybody Dies‘. Now he has released his new project which contains 10 tracks with no features.
N.C. MC, like his last album, 2014 Forrest Hills Drive, released the album on short notice, revealing it barely a week before its release while premiering the new documentary Eyez on Tidal. “First of all, you get to this height or this level of your career, in terms of platform, who’s to say the next one, the next one might go down, it could go up,” he said in the documentary. “You’re never guaranteed to be this high again. And while I’m here, let me use this opportunity to say the realest sh*t I’ve ever said.”
Cole, Cardiak, Vinylz, Ron Gilmore, BLVK, and Elijah Scarlett produced the final version of the album, which contained 10 individual tracks. Cole would go on to promote the album’s hits “Neighbors” and “Deja Vu,” which many hailed as his most mature work to date.”Everybody Dies” and “False Prophets”, both of these tracks (the former is widely assumed to be a Kanye West diss) have sparked debate among his peers, with everyone from Wale to Lil Yachty feeling compelled to respond.
There isn’t a single guest verse on the album, which is a distinction he shared with his previous full-length, 2014’s outstanding Forest Hills Drive.
UPDATE: According to HITS DAILY DOUBLE, J. Cole’s album going to give this year the third-biggest debut project with the number between 550,000 to 575,000 units in its first week.
This figure going to be Cole’s biggest opening week in his career even Cross 2014’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive Album.
