Royce da 5’9″ continues releasing new material as he drops his brand new album called ‘The Allegory‘. The project contains 22 tracks with guest appearances from T.I., Westside Gunn, KXNG Crooked, Vince Staples, and more. It was Royce da 5’9″‘s first album that was totally self-produced, with all of the record’s tracks being produced by him.
Eminem doesn’t appear on any track but he did a skit called ‘Perspective‘ where he talks about the dominance of black music and more.

Royce has already released the videos for ‘Upside Down‘, ‘Overcomer‘ and ‘Black Savage‘.
In a new conversation with the Metro Times, Nickle Nine discussed the idea in detail. “This is the first album that has ever happened to me,” Royce said. “After Book of Ryan, I didn’t have anything that I really just needed to say. I would come in here and watch TV, play around — it happened really organically.”
With a manipulated one-dollar bill setting the stage for a lot to be said from one of Michigan’s greatest, the new album’s artwork serves as a prelude to an expected deep, critical look at society and beyond. The lead single from this upcoming project, “Black Savage,” was released in mid-November late last year to critical and commercial acclaim, giving fans a strong taste of what to expect from his eighth studio album, which will be released next Friday, since he burst onto the scene with his 2002 debut album “Rock City.” From Benny the Butcher to Vince Staples to DJ Premier, The Allegory has a number of collaborations. This album, on the other hand, is Royce’s vision.
The lead song, “Black Savage,” was released on November 15, 2019, and features Sy Ari da Kid, White Gold, Cyhi the Prynce, and T.I. On November 14, 2019, the music video for the song was released as part of Jay-“Inspire Z’s Change” campaign. On January 17, 2020, the second single, “Overcomer,” featuring Westside Gunn, was released, accompanied with a music video. On January 31, 2020, the third single, “I Don’t Age,” was released.
He produced every track on the record, which is quite a feat considering he only got his first solo producer credit on Eminem’s “Music to Be Murdered By” LP last month. Even though he has access to some of the best production minds on the planet, he takes delight in doing things himself on this album, despite the fact that he is still a beginner producer. (With Primo, he’s released two fantastic PRhyme albums.)
