Rapsody drops her new album “Eve” feat JID, GZA & others.
Rapsody returns to the music scene as she drops her brand new album called ‘Eve‘. The project contains 16 tracks including last year’s J. Cole assisted ‘SoJourner‘. The project also features J.I.D, GZA, Elle Varner, and more.
EVE is a collection of songs named after prominent women of color from the past and present, executive produced by Rapsody, Young Guru, and 9th Wonder, with production by Khrysis, Nottz, Eric, and Mark Byrd. Some of the 15 black female heroes honored include Serena Williams, Michelle Obama, Ibtihaj Muhammad, and Sojourner Truth. Rapsody also unveiled a new music video for the album’s tune “NINA,” which is dedicated to Nina Simone. EVE is now available to buy or watch online.
This is a fantastic album with a more varied sound than you may anticipate from a North Carolina emcee. She’s stepping out of her comfort zone and evolving as an artist, all while maintaining the lyricism that her fans like.
In addition, the rapper confirmed this week that she will be joining rap legend Big K.R.I.T. on the “From The South With Love Tour” this fall to promote the new album. The complete tour schedule is available below, and tickets are on sale today.
