Rae Sremmurd drops the new triple-disc ‘SR3MM’ album.
Rae Sremmurd, the duo of Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi returns with their new project as they drop the triple-disc album ‘SR3MM‘. The project features one disc as the duo, and two solo discs from Swae and Slim each of which is titled ‘Swaecation‘ and ‘Jxmtro‘. Each disc contains songs with guest appearances from Future, Young Thug, Pharrell, The Weeknd, Juicy J, Travis Scott and many more.
Ahead of the release of Rae Sremmurd’s highly anticipated new album, SR3MM, on May 4, we’ve compiled everything you need to know to get even more psyched about the project.
The anticipation for Rae Sremmurd’s third album has been rising since the release of SremmLife 2 in August 2016. We’ve all been waiting for their upcoming album with bated breath, especially after hints of a triple-disc release with singles like “Perplexing Pegasus” and, most recently, “T’d Up.”
Swae and Jxmmi spoke to Billboard in March about what the highly anticipated album will bring, and boldly labelled it their best work yet. “It’s the best music we’ve ever made. Of course we’ve still got SremmLife 1 and 2 flavor, but we’re giving y’all shit y’all never heard from Rae Sremmurd before,” Swae said. “It’s just gonna be a surprise—every song you hear you’re gonna be like, ‘Damn, what the fuck?’ And all the production is crazy, you got Mike Will Made-It and EarDrummers ringing off the whole album. A couple more people too, crazy features. It’s gonna be a big deal, it’s history. The world never heard this, it’s gonna be a big statement—triple disc from a group.”
