NAV drops a new project ‘Brown Boy’.
XO CEO Amir “Cash” Esmailian surprised Nav fans on Thursday night by releasing the artists’ five-track EP Brown Boy. NAV returns with some new material as he drops a brand new EP called ‘Brown Boy‘ which contains 5 new songs. The XO’s artist also announced that he will drop a full-length album as soon as next week.
Lil Uzi Vert also took to Instagram to announce the EP and entice him out of hibernation. NAV immediately responded by stating that his “true record” will be out next week. NAV’s Brown Boy EP can be streamed here, and the Instagram posts can be found after the jump. “I’m tired of hunting for @nav hard drive and waiting for him to come out of retirement!,” Cash announced on Social Media.
Nav revealed earlier this year that he was abandoning music, following in the footsteps of Lil Uzi Vert. .”If @liluzivert quit I’m out too,” Despite the fact that Lil Uzi has stated that he would not be making any new music, he has pushed his good friend Nav to come out of retirement.
“Listen Bro @cashxo loves you and I love you man,” Lil Uzi wrote following Brown Boy’s release. “I understand I got stuff going on and this Ep is fire. Please come out of retirement @nav AND DROP YOUR ALBUM. Its gonna be lit.”
Nav revealed to fans that he will release a legitimate studio album next week, thanks to Cash and Lil Uzi’s encouragement. Brown Boy is available to stream below while we wait to see what Nav has in store. “Go to Hell,” “8 to 4,” and “OK,” all featuring Lil Durk, are among the tracks on the album.
Even though he made a feature verse on Hoodrich Pablo Juan’s track “Shoebox” in February, this is NAV’s first solo effort of 2019. His last single “Know Me” was published last year. Because to Cash’s abrupt release, the production credits for the music on this album have yet to be released. However, the XO Boss hinted to this when he tweeted on March 8th, “Wish I had Nav’s hard drive.”
