Lupe Fiasco Drops short ‘TAPE TAPE’ EP.
After giving us his 5 track ‘House‘ EP in July, Lupe Fiasco decided to drop another new short project called “TAPE TAPE”. The EP consists of only two tracks “Oh Yes” and “Apologetic“, which are produced by his long-time producer Soundtrakk.
Lupe drew inspiration for the new album from musicians such as Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. In a new interview with Vulture, he discussed Soundtrakk, which just acquired COVID-19.
“My producer, Soundtrakk, caught COVID-19,” he said. “This is the guy who made “Kick, Push” and “Superstar” and “Paris, Tokyo.” Without Soundtrakk, there’s no Lupe Fiasco. He had it and was in a coma, and other homies who are super-close to me that haven’t said it publicly, but they call me, like, “Yeah, I got COVID, bro. I’m f**ked up.” These are people I’ve done records with, and now it’s real for them.”
