Lil Pump drops new album ‘Harverd Dropout’ feat Lil Wayne, Kanye West & others.
Lil Pump’s debut album ‘Harverd Dropout‘ which was supposed to drop on his birthday August 17th, is finally out now. The project contains 16 tracks with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Kanye West, YG, Quavo, 2 Chainz, and more.
The 16-track project has the rapper’s signature sounds and lyrical flow, as well as addictive and head-bumping beats. Lil Pump throws papers into the air while fully iced out, as shown on the album’s cover art, which has a purple tint to it. Pump returns to his shenanigans on tracks like “ION,” which features Smokepurrp, and “Be Like Me,” which features Lil Wayne. The album also features previously released hit singles including Kanye West’s controversial “I Love It” with Esskeetit and others. Other famous tracks include Offset’s “Fasho Fasho” and “Nu Uh.”
The simplicity with which a listener can follow Lil Pump’s musical style is its fundamental appeal. The repetition of tracks like “Vroom Vroom Vroom” intrigues me. The song’s title is based on the word “vroom,” which is repeated sixty times in two minutes. The chorus of “Racks on Racks” carries this aspect as well, with his iconic slogan “esskeetit” bellowed throughout the chorus. Lil Pump’s simplicity is redeemable; his music is designed to be enjoyed without effort. “Harverd Dropout” doesn’t try to hide the fact that it’s a sloppy mumble-rap record.
