Lil Baby drops his new album ‘My Turn’ feat Lil Wayne, Young Thug & others.
Lil Baby had a breakout year in 2019. He was nominated for a Grammy, won the BET Award for Best New Artist, had a handful of Billboard successes, and collaborated with some of hip-hop’s biggest names. But the Atlanta rapper isn’t content to rest on his laurels, claiming that his sophomore album, My Turn, will take him to new heights. After giving us the ‘Sum 2 Prove‘ video earlier this month, Lil Baby continues releasing new material as he drops his brand new album called ‘My Turn‘. The project contains 20 tracks with guest appearances from Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, Gunna, and more.
“Woah,” which has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and “Sum 2 Prove,” which has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, power the album. Lil Baby’s My Turn is his first new production since 2018’s Street Gossip, and he calls it “my best work to date.”
My Turn opened at top one on the US Billboard 200 in its first week, with 197,000 album-equivalent units (including just under 10,000 pure album sales), making it Lil Baby’s first US total count album. After the release of My Turn, 12 tracks from the album peaked on the US Billboard Hot 100, giving Lil Baby a career total of 47 singles on the list, tying him with Prince and Paul McCartney.
