Isaiah Rashad drops his new album “The House is Burning”.
After a series of new singles every other week, Isaiah Rashad has dropped his brand new album called “The House Is Burning“. The TDE rapper kicked off the campaign in May with his return single “Lay With Ya“. It is his first project since the release of “The Sun’s Tirade” in 2016.
The Sun’s Tirade, his first studio album as a member of Top Dawg Entertainment, established the tone for the rapper from Chattanooga, Tennessee (he signed in 2013). With Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Ab-Soul, and others belonging to TDE, it was only natural that Isaiah Rashad would be a part of the dynasty. His sophomore studio album, The House Is Burning, was released today (July 30).
The new album contains 16 tracks with guest appearances from SZA & 6LACK on “Score”, Jay Rock & Jay Worthy on “True Story”, Lil Uzi Vert on “From The Garden” and more. Yesterday, Isaiah teamed up with ScHoolboy Q for the single and video “Runnin“.
Rashad detailed how his problems with addiction kept him from recording music for a period, eventually culminating to a trip in treatment, in a recent cover story for Fader. “I was really disgruntled,” he explained. “Instead of just explaining myself, I just assumed that ni**as knew. Or I would just be drunk spazzing. And nobody hears that. They just hear that you’re drunk. You know they called me Bobby Brown? That sh*t hurt the f**k out of my feelings. That’s the worst type of vibe ever.”
