Gucci Mane drops the new album “Ice Daddy” celebrating his son.
Last month, Gucci Mane teamed up with BIG30 for a new track “Sh*t Crazy” and also announced his new album “Ice Daddy“. Today, the project is officially in stores now. The album which features his son on the Cover Art features a list of 17 tracks.
Gucci Mane is without a doubt one of the greatest rappers to have ever come out of Atlanta. Atlanta is home to some of hip hop’s biggest names, and the zone 6 musicians have undoubtedly opened the way for a slew of new artists thanks to his influence in trap music. Gucci has released over 75 mixtapes and a number of EPs since his arrival in 2005, making him one of rap’s busiest artists. Jet Life CEO Curren$y is the only other name that can even be spoken in the same breath as Wop’s. Ice Daddy, the 15th studio album by the 1017 frontman, was released today.
Given that Father’s Day is just two days away, the timing of this album’s release could not have been better. It’s a fitting moment for the Atlanta rapper and his newborn baby, Ice, given the release and the holiday. Ice Davis is Gucci’s first child with his wife, Keyshia Ka’oir. Gucci decided to use his dripping-out baby kid as the album’s cover art, inspired by his son’s delivery. This is the couple’s first public reveal of their son, and it’s spot-on, to say the least. Ice Daddy comes after Gucci’s Woptober II and Delusions of Grandeur albums from this year. In November, he released Trap God Classics: I Am My Only Competition, his first-ever greatest hits collection, which included 28 of his most popular songs.
The guest appearances come from Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, Young Dolph, E-40, Project Pat, and more. He also dropped the video for Pooh Shiesty & Sur Mix-A-Lot featured “Posse On Bouldercrest“.
