French Montana drops his new album ‘MONTANA’ feat Cardi B, Juicy J & others.
The last few weeks have been difficult for French Montana. Despite a nine-day stay in the ICU, the rapper wants fans to know that he’s not slowing down, especially since he’s just released a new album. After giving us a joint project ‘Coke Wave 4‘ with Max B back in July, French Montana returns with some new material as he drops his brand new album called ‘MONTANA‘. The project contains 11 tracks with guest appearances from Post Malone, Cardi B, Swae Lee, Chris Brown, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Juicy J, Drake, Logic, ASAP Rocky, Quavo, City Girls, Blueface, Kodak Black, Gunna, Kevin Gates, and more.
French was reportedly hospitalized last month due to cardiac concerns. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, he was released from the ICU. French wrote a touching message to his fans on social media, claiming that “music was keeping his spirit alive.”
“CANT KEEP ME DOWN !! Been workin hard on my new album and I’m so proud to announce it’s coming THIS FRIDAY !!! #MONTANA The music is keepin my spirit alive. THANK YOU to my fans, love y’all for ridin with me thru this journey,” he wrote.
The album’s commercial performance was dismal, and music reviewers gave it a mixed bag of reviews. With 25,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week, it reached number 25 on the US Billboard 200 list. This album received the lowest first-week sales and chart position for Montana to date. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the album gold certification on December 5, 2019 for cumulative sales and album-equivalent units of over 500,000 copies in the US.
He already released the visuals for the tracks called ‘Suicide Doors‘ and ‘Writing on the Wall‘. Stream the new album below.
