French Montana drops the ‘Coke Boys 5’ project.
After announcing it way back in May earlier this year, French Montana has released his brand new album called “Coke Boys 5“. The project contains 19 tracks with guest appearances from Jack Harlow, ASAP Rocky, Currensy, Lil Durk, Benny The Butcher, ASAP Rocky, and more.
The project was produced by Harry Fraud and is stacked by renowned guest artists from various generations almost six years after the release of the fourth installment. Late Pop Smoke, ASAP Rocky, Lil Durk, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Benny the Butcher, Jim Jones, and Max B have contributed to the album.
“2020 been rough for a lot of us,” French announced on the tape on the gram “CB5 couldn’t of dropped any sooner … Through all the trials and tribulations someway, somehow, we manifested to fight back with wave music . THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS WHO SUPPORTED US THROUGH ALL THESE YEARS THIS ONE FOR Y’ALL.”
French is now working on Chinx Drugz’s postmortem record, which he discussed with Nick Cannon earlier this year. “I got to do it for my dog. That sh*t sounds crazy,” he said about the project. “When people hear it they’re gonna see how talented my boy was. It’s sad for brothers like him, like Pop Smoke, that their casket closed when their door opened. It’s a sad situation.”
Earlier this month, he dropped the visual for Benny The Butcher assisted ‘Wave Blues‘.
“Double G,” a song by late American rapper Pop Smoke that is on the mixtape, was made available. On November 9, 2020, French Montana’s 36th birthday, the second song, “Wave Blues,” featuring American rapper Benny the Butcher, was released. On January 5, 2021, the third and final song, “Hot Boy Bling,” featuring American rappers Jack Harlow and Lil Durk, was released to rhythmic current radio.
