It was produced in partnership with Dre of Cool and Dre.
“This Family Ties is a classic. We not takin’ no talk back … My whole career, I’ve been chasing a classic,” Joe said, before addressing his potential retirement. “I love music, I love hip-hop, but I’m just feelin’ like my daughter is getting a little older … I wanna try that regular life.”
Recently Fat Joe said that Eminem tried to talk him out of retirement. “You defy the odds and I think that’s a true testament to your character. I know that’s why Eminem is such a big fan of yours too ’cause I talked to Eminem and he said that you were one of his favorites.”
While Joe hasn’t revealed which track has Eminem’s line, the two rappers have a lengthy relationship. Joe recently said that Eminem sent him a cassette six times before he became famous, but Joe never listened to it. “I didn’t do it, and now he’s the most powerful man on the planet,” he explained.
The legendary Hip Hop singer has already released the video for “YES,” which features Cardi B and Anuel AA, however it is unknown which song Eminem will perform on. Joe and Em have a long history together.
Joe mentioned passing on Slim Shady’s demo six times in a recent interview with WEDR 99.1FM Miami.
“Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times,” Joe said. “Everywhere I went was this little white boy, and he kept giving me his demo. He was like ‘listen to my music, I’m telling you I’m nice, I’m nice.’ I never really … I didn’t do it! Now, he’s the biggest guy in the universe.”
The project also has a huge collaboration with Eminem which is titled ‘Lord Above‘. Stream the entire thing below.
