Bow Wow drops “Greenlight 6” mixtape.
After giving us ‘Suge‘ freestyle last week, Bow Wow continues releasing new material as he drops his brand new mixtape called “Greenlight 6″. Shad Moss raps over iconic instrumentals such as Lauryn Hill’s “Lost Ones,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Big Ole Freak,” Mustard and Migos’ “Pure Water,” and more in the newest installment of the series, which began in 2009.
The project contains 11 songs which mainly are freestyles from popular beats. This mixtape’s tracklist is a far contrast from what was published in November 2018. Then there was the alleged Greenlight 6 album cover image, which depicted a young Bow holding a giant basketball trophy next to a urinal. The tracklist, which was layered on the photo, mentioned Soulja Boy, The Weeknd, Trill Sammy, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and Migos. Greenlight 6, on the other hand, is mostly made up of freestyle and is devoid of any utility.
The 32-year-old rapper begins the 11-track album with a public service announcement, “I came to realize that I’m the last one left. I make music for the ni**as that like to do fly sh*t,” he says on the intro. “One thing I do not condone is ho sh*t or f**k ni**as. And we do not make music for broke ni**as. You will be highly offended by playing this.”
His freestyles to DaBaby’s “Suge,” Lauryn Hill’s “Lost Ones” (“Fuck You Bitch”), Mustard and Migos’ “Pure Water” (“Let It Breathe”), and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Big Ole Freak” are included on the project. Throughout G6, Shad Moss makes various discoveries. On “Death Row,” he claims he was signed to Suge Knight’s label (“Dre left, Snoop left, then my contract was no good”) before getting a call from Jermaine Dupri (“First thing I told Jermaine was that I want to be bigger than Kris Kross”), and on “Let It Breathe,” he confesses that he “tried to mack” on Kylie Jenner’s former BFF Jordyn.
