DJ Khaled previewed the album with a one-minute video on Instagram earlier this week. In the video, the artist talks about his new song in front of a choir. In the video, he adds, “Khaled Khaled is coming.” “It’s special. I worked my whole career, my whole life, and I’m just getting started.”
Khaled’s first week sales for Grateful are the biggest in his career so far. With 149,000 album-equivalent units, of which 50,000 were actual album sales, it debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200. It is DJ Khaled’s second chart-topping album. The total sales and album-equivalent units of Grateful in the United States exceeded 500,000, earning it gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
