DIVINE drops the ‘Kohinoor’ Album.
Indian rapper DIVINE who recently signed to the newly launched Nas’ Mass Appeal India has released his debut album called ‘Kohinoor‘. The project contains 8 tracks with some of his affiliates and now his label mate Dave East.
Vivian Fernandes’ album Voice Of The Streets was released six years ago, and in that time, his stage moniker DIVINE has risen to a near-God-like reputation in the realm of desi hip-hop. After major songs like Mere Gully Mein and contributions to the soundtracks of Gully Boy and the Netflix smash Sacred Games, he’s gone back to the drawing board and emerged with something that has fans buzzing with anticipation – his debut album, Kohinoor.
“This album is a part of me and a chance for me to tell people my story,” DIVINE said in a press release. “I wanted to give my fans my side of the story, to move the curtain and let them see what my life is all about. I have learned some truths the hard way, and I have no regrets in life.”
He added, “Music-wise, I have worked with people that I have a great working relationship with, people who get me like Pinaki aka Phenom or my Gully Gang boys. And I was very clear about the kind of people I wanted on this album. Like iLL Wayno, Dave East, and even Sid, who I have wanted to work with for such a long time.”
