Busta Rhymes drops his new album “ELE 2” feat Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross & others
Busta Rhymes continues releasing new material as he finally drops his long-awaited “ELE 2″/”Extinction Level Event 2“ album. The project contains 22 tracks with guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Mariah Carey, Rakim, Rapsody, and more.
Prior to the anticipated album’s release, Busta Rhymes challenged T.I. to compete in the latest season of the Verzuz combat series alongside him. Tip responded to the offer, “Busta’s one of the most phenomenal talents of our time, man,” replied Tip to the offer. “I salute and respect Busta a whole lot. I just think the generational gap might be a little too much.” Instead, Busta will square off against Jeezy, while the Atlanta rapper will have to continue his search for a competitor.
Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God opened at number seven on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, earning 38,000 album-equivalent units (including 17,000 copies as pure album sales) in its first week. This was Busta Rhymes’ sixth top-ten album in the United States. That week, the album received a total of 27.78 million on-demand streaming of its tracks.
Last month, he dropped the video for Anderson .Paak assisted ‘YUUUU‘. Stream the full album below.
