Boogie drops his debut album ‘Everythings For Sale’ feat 6LACK, JID & others.
Boogie continues releasing new material as he releases his highly anticipated debut album called ‘Everythings For Sale‘ which is his first project under Shady Records. The 13 track project features guest appearances from Eminem, 6LACK, J.I.D, and more.
Boogie takes an analytical look at his own career and life path on the album, which represents a venture into new styles for him. The album, which features his trademark blend of melodious vocals and frightening rap flow, is a welcome addition to the year’s already lucrative album releases.
Having piqued the interest of the rap community, as well as one M. Boogie is one of a burgeoning group of MCs who favor a more lyrical, contemplative perspective on hip-hop, as evidenced by his mixtape Thirst 48 Part II, released in 2016. Boogie is hoping to prove that an old-school style to rap still has validity, alongside Dreamville’s J.I.D – who appears on the latest single “Soho” – and MCs like Noname and Saba. It’s no surprise that his debut will be released on Eminem’s Shady Records. Don’t get me inaccurate: Everythings for Sale is still a very contemporary album. Snares ring out with the clarity of the best Metro Boomin tracks, and Boogie isn’t afraid to be wrong now and then. What jumps out the most is that Boogie is a rapper in war throughout the album, half in the game and half on the streets, attempting to survive both. Boogie laments his burgeoning success and considers his mortality on tracks like “Tired/Reflections” and “Skydive II,” with Atlanta’s 6lack providing a verse of eerie autotuned gloom to the latter. Boogie is reborn defiant, buoyed by his triumphs and unafraid elsewhere, such as on “Lolsmh,” when his sadness evolves into resilience and he is reborn defiant, buoyed by his successes and unafraid.
