Black Thought & 9th Wonder releases ‘Streams of Thought, Vol. 1’ EP.
After announcing it last week, Black Thought and 9th Wonder decided to release their new joint project called ‘Streams of Thought, Vol. 1‘. The EP is entirely produced by 9th Wonder. The EP contains 5 songs with the guest appearance from Rapsody, Styles P, and KIRBY.
Jamla beat, The Soul Council, the producers 9th Wonder, Nottz, Khrysis, E. Jones, Eric G., and Amp and Kash, supervised this project. The cover was meantime a work of art produced under the name “Untitled Anxious Audience” by Rashid Johnson, which had a vital part in the overall aesthetics of the EP.
“It’s always been about the greater good of our organization for me,” says Black Thought. “All those solo efforts that I’ve announced, it breathes new life into the awareness of me as an artist. The Roots brand always has to be maintained, and we’re just at a place now where prime-time TV affords us a different sort of visibility and I’m able to kind of take a step back and focus on some of the other creative energy that I still need to get out. None of this is my solo album. It’s just a chance to see me in a different light doing a different thing.”
